I will have 3 sources for television. All three sources will be invaluable for myself, or if I was to foster children, them as well. There will only be 2 televisions to reduce the wasted time that a television will sometimes produce. I would rather the foster child do their homework rather than watching some cartoon they maybe interested in. They can record the show, and watch in the evening after homework, and dinner. Most of these sources is extra money which will need to be justified. If I find that boundaries are not respected, then I will lock down the TVs, or terminate services.
The first source of television is completely free. This will be an OTA (Over The Air) television antenna. This antenna will pick up local channels and each member of the family will have a Tablo 4 DVR (Digital Video Recorder) which will record anything they might be interested in. Since there are four tuners, each member of the family can record 4 different channels at one time. I will encourage going to the OTA for their viewing pleasures. This will ready them to make decisions on whether or not they feel other sources are worth the price.
The second source is IPTV (Internet Protocol TeleVision) service which is known as Sling. I will have both the blue and orange package. This service will be on the great room’s television screen so there will be no watching inappropriate channels in front of me. I personally don’t find value in IPTV services, and currently find it not worth the price at $65 when compared to my income, however if my income was to triple or more, then it would be worth wasting $65 on it.
The last and third service will be Netflix. I will choose the cheapest ad-free package for my viewing. I do find value in Netflix, and use it almost every day. This service is currently a value to make my life a little more comfortable.
