If I win a windfall of money, I will lose my Medicaid, and so I should. Medicaid is for people who can’t afford health insurance. I will have the financial means to pay for my health insurance. I will acquire a package similar to what I would get under Medicaid, and I will choose UPMC Health Insurance since my primary doctors are all part of the UPMC health network. If I was to have a family, each member will be placed under my health plan, so everyone will be covered. Obviously, this will cost more and the price is to assume for just myself.
