I seen the charges for water by PWSA (Pittsburgh Water and Sewage Authority), and I don’t like their prices. However, I will have no choice but to accept them. There is no competition when it comes to water. Not only will I have to pay water for my residence, but I will also have to pay for a tenant as well. I can expect 3 people in the residence which is about 75 gallons of water every day. In addition to the water fees, there will also be a sewage fee which they seem to approximate the same usage of sewage as they do with water. I can’t control how much water the tenant will use, but I can set some suggestions, and since there will be no bath tubs in the bathrooms, a shower uses less water than a full size tub. A dishwasher will also use less water than washing by hand. I will encourage that they load the dish washer during the day, and run it at night. Still, I will expect to have a high water bill.
