Simply put, I don’t want 8 billion people to know where I live. My mailing address will be public record with the ownership of the 4 Story Building, and even though I will be living in this building, I still don’t want people know where I live. The PMB will give me an address where people can write to me at. I will receive the letter, write a reply, and send the letter to the person I wrote to. As with now, almost all of my mail, and all of my packages goes to the PMB. I don’t see a reason of why that should change.
