I will not have cable TV. I might not even have Sling. The only streaming service guaranteed that I will be using will be Netflix. With that said, OTA (Over The Air) Television will likely be the only solution. However, children will have homework, family time, and bedtime to contend with. They may not be able to sit and watch their favorite television show. This is where the Tablo will come in. A Tablo 4 tuner DVR will record up to 4 channels at one time to allow the child to view the shows when they have their own free time. If their bedtime is 9PM, and a favorite show is on at 9PM, then they will be able to record that show, and watch it when they have free time. They will even be able to fast forward through the commercials which means a 1 hour show could be watched in about 45 minutes.
The Tablo is only available as long as they are within the family. If they leave, they will not be able to take the Tablo with them, however the guardian they are going to may get a Tablo for the child if that is something they will be willing to do.
